Welcome

Welcome to the Project Active Citizen site

PAC is a transition program in Burlington, Wisconsin that helps teach students with special needs how to live on their own. At the PAC House, our desire is that the 18-21 year-olds who come to our program will be independent in the home, in the community, and in the world of work.
To make this happen we have set goals for our young adults:

  • To enhance their social-emotional development, by helping them to forge true friendships with their peers.

  • To develop their language and critical thinking skills by using dialogue that is active and challenging.

  • To be involved in competitive employment.

  • To develop strong self-determination and self confidence.

PAC Mission and Vision Statements

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to work towards increasing the independence of each student in order to maximize each one's potential and to allow each to function with dignity and worth at his or her highest level.

Vision Statement:
Working collaboratively as a team of home, community, and school, we will seek opportunities, address challenges and ethically serve the students facing multiple barriers to full inclusion in the life of the community.
